"What is the effective English learning environment for Japanese English learners from elementary to high school?"
The panel will consider recent updates to the MEXT English Teaching Guidelines, addressing three critical questions: "what are the new elements introduced?", "what are the anticipated benefits?", and "what challenges may arise?". The discussion will also feature the need for extensive teacher training and adjustments to existing curricula to accommodate these innovative approaches.

このパネルディスカッションでは、「グローバル化に対応した英語教育改革」を実践すべく改訂された現学習指導要領について掘り下げ、「導入された新しい要素は何か？」「期待される成果は何か？」「どのような課題が生じているのか？」という3つの重要な疑問に焦点を当て議論します。また、これらの新しいアプローチに対応するために、教師への充実した研修と既存のカリキュラムの調整が必要であることについても取りあげます。

This interactive talk will delve into how we can foster both global and local communities, from forming personal bonds to building effective teams, in a world that is simultaneously expansive, interconnected and fractured through technology and social media.
