Building on its strategic commitment to internationalization and quality global education, the Japan campus of Temple University (TUJ) has partnered with three prefectures: Nagasaki, Yamanashi, and Ehime. These relationships focus on fostering academic and cultural exchanges, international education, language training, development of globally minded talent in Japan, attraction of foreign companies and workers to the respective prefectures, and skills development related to hospitality management and other important sectors.

These collaborative relationships contemplate the respective prefectures sending learners and teachers to TUJ KYOTO and our Tokyo campus. They also involve TUJ students, faculty, and leaders engaging with individuals, schools, and industry in the respective prefectures. Through these efforts, TUJ aims to advance globalization throughout the country while nurturing a global mindset through diverse global education and exchange opportunities, benefiting not only local students but also businesses and the community.

TUJ offers the award-winning internship program that pairs globally-minded students with companies, NGOs, NPOs, government organizations, and educational institutions. Students can extend their classroom learning and theoretical knowledge, into the real world and get a taste of what it is like to work as a professional in the industry of their interest. In turn, hosting organizations have a chance to utilize our students’ energy and skills as well as observe potential hires without long-term obligations.
