Temple University, Japan Campus
CAMPAIGN FOR TUJ KYOTO
providing need-based scholarships for students at
TUJ KYOTO
Opening 2025
Temple University, Japan Campus will open a satellite location in the heart of Kyoto in January 2025.
Located on the campus of Seibo Jogakuin - a brief 12-minute walk from Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine - the Kyoto program will provide TUJ students an exciting platform to explore new and dynamic perspectives on global issues, international relations, Japanese history and aesthetics, and emerging popular culture. First-year TUJ students will have the opportunity to begin their studies in either Kyoto or Tokyo, while continuing TUJ students will be able to transfer for a semester or an entire academic year as part of their current degree program. The Kyoto location will also host study-abroad students from Temple's main campus and other universities, creating a rich and varied international academic and student environment.
Help make this opportunity a reality for all TUJ students!

Comment from Ambassador Rahm Emanuel, U.S. Ambassador to Japan
“The greatest service we can provide to others is to provide them with opportunity. That is what Temple University has done for decades in Japan: provide students the opportunity of a world-class, American-style education. I congratulate Temple on its plans to open a new campus in Kyoto that will reach up-and-coming leaders in Kansai and western Japan. Our two countries are best when our best and brightest work together.”
