Previous Appointments

Lina began her career in the international development sector, working for USAID’s West Africa Trade Hub. As a sustainability specialist, she supported the managing director in creating an independent Global Shea Alliance and increasing its membership. It is at that time that she joined her first startup, helping the Kenya-based education startup Ekitabu build relationships in the Ghanaian market. She then moved to Dubai to assist Louis Dreyfus Commodities’ regional CEO for the Middle East and Africa in his daily activities, a position that included a wide variety of tasks, from organizing regional seminars to helping compile the regional annual report to doing research with the forex team.
