To All Recent TUJ Graduates:
TUJ will hold a formal commencement ceremony on December 11, 2020 at Hitomi Memorial Hall for all eligible TUJ graduates who completed their degree requirements in the following semesters:
- Summer 2019
- Fall 2019
- Spring 2020
- Summer 2020

- The Ceremony begins at 7 pm sharp. Graduates participating in the ceremony should arrive at the venue no later than 6:15 pm in order to check-in, collect their regalia, robe and line up for the procession.

Transportation and Entry:
All the Graduates and Guests should use the Main Gate of Showa Women’s University. Parking is not available on campus, although private parking lots are available in the neighborhood surrounding TUJ and SWU. The closest Metro stop is Sangen-jaya station on the Den-en-toshi line and is about a 10 minute walk to the main SWU gate.
Health Procedures:
There will be a temperature check upon entry into the hall, face coverings will be mandatory and social distancing rules will be in effect. Because the situation with COVID-19 remains fluid, the university may impose additional health and safety rule in advance of the ceremony and in response to government health guidelines. Showa Women’s University may also perform a temperature check at the main gate.

Registration for the December ceremony is now closed.
Recent TUJ graduates who missed their ceremony due to COVID-19 travel restrictions or other difficulties are welcome to participate in the spring 2021 ceremony scheduled for June 6, 2021.
Further details and additional information on the spring commencement will be sent by email after the New Year.
