Bunra-who?! Bunraku! Enjoy an introduction into Bunraku, or traditional Japanese puppet theater, at the New National Theatre of Japan! Held in high regard and on the same playing field as Kabuki and Noh Theater, Bunraku holds a special place in the arts of Japanese culture and has been performed in Japan since the Edo Period (1603 - 1868).
