We are excited to offer University-sponsored housing options designed to make your transition to life in Kyoto stress-free. TUJ Kyoto housing consists entirely of single units, each equipped with a private kitchen. The rooms are fully furnished and include a refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, electric kettle, and basic kitchenware. TUJ has handled all the complexities of securing an apartment, including fees, key money, deposits, cleaning fees, contracts, paperwork, utilities, and Internet. All you need to do is apply for housing, and you'll be ready to enjoy Kyoto and the Kansai region of Japan.

Property Overview

TUJ Kyoto has 4 housing categories which are 1) Premium Plus, 2) Premium, 3) Standard, and 4) Value. You can see the housing properties under each category below. 

Premium Plus: Owl Nest A,B, and C; and Wisteria Kyoto Fukakusa 

Our highest-tier housing option, featuring newly built residences such as the Owl Nest buildings and Wisteria. Premium Plus rooms include additional furnishings such as a sleeper sofa, coffee table and television. 

PREMIUM: Fastate Kyoto Station Woz, Aquaplace Kyoto Tofukuji, Temple Terrace, International House, SORA, The Terrace Sanoyashiki 

Newly built or recently developed apartments located within 15–20 minutes by bicycle or approximately 30 minutes of campus by public transportation, offering a convenient and comfortable student living experience. 

STANDARD: Crest Tapp Jujo, Blue Manta Momoyama, Campus Village Kyoto Fushimi, Owl Crest 

Housing options located approximately 25–40 minutes from campus by public transportation or about 20 minutes by bicycle, while still providing the same fully furnished, move-in-ready experience. 

VALUE: Mukaijima Gakusei Center 

Our most affordable housing option, ideal for students seeking budget-friendly accommodations.

All rooms are approx. 25 sqm in size and will be equipped with a bed, a private bathroom with a shower and bath, a small kitchen, a desk with chair, an A/C unit, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a microwave and a closet. Bedding (pillow, blanket, and sheets) are provided, but towels are not. High-speed Wi-Fi internet is provided in each room.

ROOM

All rooms are approx. 21 sqm in size and will be equipped with a bed, a private bathroom with a shower and bath, a small kitchen, a desk with chair, an A/C unit, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a microwave and a closet. Bedding (pillow, blanket, and sheets) are provided, but towels are not. High-speed Wi-Fi internet is provided in each room. Note, photos below show rooms before furniture has been added.

All 12 units are approximately 25 sqm each. These larger apartments are equipped with a bed, a private bathroom with a shower and bath, a small kitchen, a table with chairs, an A/C unit, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a microwave and a closet. Bedding (pillow, blanket, and sheets) is provided, but towels are not. High-speed WiFi internet is provided.

All 6 units are approximately 26.38 sqm each. These larger apartments are equipped with a bed, a private bathroom with a shower and bath, a small kitchen, a table with chairs, an A/C unit, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a microwave and a closet. Bedding (pillow, blanket, and sheets) is provided, but towels are not. High-speed WiFi internet is provided. 

All 44 units are approximately 24.45 sqm each. These larger apartments are equipped with a bed, a private bathroom with a shower and bath, a small kitchen, a table with chairs, an A/C unit, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a microwave and a closet. All 9 units are approximately 31sqm each. These larger apartments are equipped with a bed, a private bathroom with a shower and bath, a small kitchen, a table with chairs, an A/C unit, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a microwave and a closet. Bedding (pillow, blanket, and sheets) is provided, but towels are not. A shared laundry area with washing machines and dryers is available on each floor. High-speed Wi-Fi internet is provided in each room.
