Global Campus Transfer to TUJ: Things to Know Beforehand

Courses

Majors and courses may differ between TUJ and other schools in the Temple network, so talk with your academic advisor and discuss which courses in your academic history will apply to your new major at TUJ. You can see courses at TUJ by using the Course Schedule Search  and filtering by campus for Japan (Tokyo) and Japan Kyoto.

Delayed Graduation

Transferring to the Japan campus may delay your graduation if some of your courses already taken or credits earned DO NOT meet the requirements for your new or chosen major. Your home campus academic advisor can help you review these requirements or connect you with a TUJ academic advisor.

Financial Aid

If you are receiving any form of federal aid, consult TUJ’s to better understand how transferring to TUJ may impact your federal financial aid eligibility.

Tuition, Fees and Scholarships

Transferring to TUJ could change your total cost of attendance. Please check TUJ’s Cost & Financial Aid page for information on tuition costs at TUJ.

Scholarships provided by Main Campus or Rome Campus do not typically transfer to TUJ. You will be eligible to apply for a Continuing Student Scholarship at TUJ.

Housing

All students receiving a new student visa sponsored by TUJ are required to stay in the TUJ Dorm during their first semester unless they complete the Homestay Application or are approved for the Housing Waiver.
