Eligible TUJ students can study abroad for a semester or academic year at a partner university through our bilateral exchange programs – an affordable way to explore the world while earning credit and paying TUJ tuition!

While students will pay their regular TUJ tuition during their time abroad, they’ll be responsible for covering housing, transportation, and other personal expenses.

All exchange programs are conducted in English, but course availability will vary by university. Students should carefully research available courses and speak with their academic advisor to ensure the school is a good fit for their academic goals. Since academic systems and course registration procedures differ by country, we strongly advise students to search for a variety of courses in case their first choices are unavailable due to cancellations or scheduling conflicts.

Participants are required to take a full-time course load while abroad to ensure they earn transfer credits.

Exchange programs are a great fit for independent, motivated students who are looking for a fully immersive international experience. Since many universities abroad have different, often more self-directed learning structures, these programs are best suited for students with a strong academic background. Some exchanges have limited spots and can be quite competitive, so we recommend having backup options when applying.
