Overview of TUJ Master In Management Adjunct Faculty

TUJ is looking for an adjunct faculty member to teach Managing People in the Master in Management Program

Master in Management Program
Designed for recent college graduates from all backgrounds, the one-year Master in Management (MiM) in Tokyo delivers a comprehensive introduction to the world of business. Students develop knowledge and experience on business concepts, data analysis, financial and accounting principles, and organizational ethics.

The MiM program is taught with cohort-based courses. Starting once per year, in August, students’ progress through all courses together, supporting and challenging each other. In this learner centered environment, TUJ professors create a space for students to explore ideas and develop critical thinking skills.

This program is part of the Fox School of Business and is accredited by the Prestigious AACSB (Association of the Advancement of Colleges and Schools of Business).

Overview of position

Adjunct Instructor for the following course:

Managing People - (3 Credit Hours).

Introduction to understanding the behavior of individuals and teams in relation to helping organizations and its members thrive. The key focus being on leadership development and how effective leaders develop, motivate, and inspire organizational members to drive organizational success.

This position is part-time for the semester, with the possibility to continue teaching in the future. Successful applicants will teach one or two courses per semester.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Terminal degree in Organizational Behavior or a related field, to be awarded by start date.
  • Teaching excellence at the university level.
  • Industry experience in HR or Corporate Training & Dev. preferred.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Evidence of scholarly work, e.g. research and/or professional publications
