On March 18th, Program Board opened the parliament to Artist Alley, continuing the tradition of giving talented student artists the space to showcase and sell their artwork. All proceeds went directly to the artists, creating a supportive atmosphere within the TUJ community.
This semester's market recorded the highest number of sign-ups, many of whom were first-time participants. The theme revolved around an enjoyable walk into a European street, beautifully decorated with a brick archway, greenery, and of course, a street sign reading “Artist Alley”!
Attendees curiously browsed the ‘alley’, which displayed a variety of items, ranging from art prints, crochet, pottery, and even stick-on nails! As always, the market was open to faculty and students alike, with staff admiring and supporting the artists and their work.
The event included a much-anticipated raffle with prizes such as a selfie stick, a LEGO set, a projector, and a Wii U! Four lucky students claimed these prizes just before the market closed.
Thank you to all the artists, students, and faculty who showed up and supported the event! Program Board looks forward to continuing this cherished tradition at TUJ.
