As a mix of the ominous Friday the 13th and upcoming Valentine’s Day love filled the air, the
new 2026 Program Board hosted their first event: Love at First Fright! The parliament,
transformed into a romantic atmosphere, welcomed students for a relaxing night to celebrate the love-filled day ahead.

Once the doors opened at 5:30, a line formed outside, and students collected their snacks on the
way in. As the event kicked off, a darkly whimsical movie was played to entertain the students.
Joined by our popular Coffee Makers and Table Top Clubs, students were offered a wide variety
of treats to further enjoy their event. Coffee Makers set an exciting record, making a total of 82
coffees during the event!

To spread the love even more, an on-theme backdrop was created for students to capture the
night and show off their Valentine’s Day outfits. A Valentine's card station gave students a
chance to share their affections for their special someone. We could tell the love was high this
year, as all materials were used up!

The Program Board would like to extend a huge thank-you to all who attended the event! It was
a fun night gathering with fellow students and a great way to kick off the new semester of events. We look forward to seeing you at our future events!
