Tokyo Pride 2026

On June 6th and June 7th, TUJ and TUJ LEAD held a booth at the Tokyo Pride event. Tokyo Pride aims to foster an inclusive environment and help individuals navigate life with joy and pride, specifically with this year’s theme being “Equal Rights today, A freer, fairer tomorrow.”

At the booth, run by over 50 wonderful TUJ Students and Staff, a marble machine was set up so that the visitors could enjoy voting for LGBTQ+ topics that they are most interested in advocating for. Some of the topics include LGBTQ+ Youth Support, Equal Marriage and Inclusive Sex Education. Prizes and candy were given to booth visitors depending on the color of marble that they picked, so that everyone could have a more memorable experience.

Overall, the event successfully concluded with many hundreds of visitors gathering to know how TUJ celebrates gender and other forms of diversity. We look forward to next year’s Tokyo Pride event where we can once again celebrate diversity and foster meaningful connections with others.
