A picture of the Higayshi-chaya district in Kanazawa

Discover the endless charms of Kanazawa and connect with fellow TUJ Owls in Kyoto on this joint trip with the Kyoto Campus! From the fresh fish and delicious eateries at Omicho Market to old samurai houses and trying a gold leaf workshop (the pride of Kanazawa!) to strolling through the atmospheric alleys of the traditional Higashi Chaya District – Kanazawa is brimming with history and traditional charm that you’ll be able to explore freely with newfound friends!

On our second day, we’ll be taking a road trip to the Noto Peninsula north of Kanazawa, where we’ll explore the natural beauty of the area and hear first-hand from locals about their experiences of the devastating Noto Earthquake in 2024.
