Kyra Bowman 

Chief Communications Officer

In March 2026, Kyra “Kiki” Bowman joined Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) as its Chief Communications Officer. In this role, she serves as the university’s principal strategist for institutional communications, brand management, and public and media relations, working closely with TUJ President and Dean Matthew Wilson.

Ms. Bowman began her professional career at creative agencies in New York before relocating to Tokyo in 2017. She brings over 15 years of experience spanning branding, digital, and advertising, as well as international organizations.

Prior to joining TUJ, Ms. Bowman served as Head of Communications at United Nations University, where she led strategic communications efforts in Japan and globally.

Kiki holds a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and a master’s degree from Naropa University.
