Professor Sabrina Hassanali brings a unique blend of social consciousness, international experience, and business acumen to her practice of the law.

She has worked to serve the public interest through: grass-roots organizing for political participation among newly naturalized US citizens through the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials; representing indigent clients in immigration, probate, and family law matters through the Georgia Legal Services Program; advocating for gender equality in health policy at the World Health Organization; empowering female entrepreneurs through programming at FEW Japan; and participating in impact litigation aimed at connecting the right to health with the environmental justice movement in Argentina.

In her undergraduate studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology, she majored in International Affairs and Modern Language (Spanish). She traveled to Spain and Mexico and took courses focused on international business treaties and comparative social problems. As a Leadership Law Scholarship student at the University of Maryland School of Law, Professor Hassanali also served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Business and Technology Law. Through the school’s clinic program, she worked as a student attorney at the Maryland Intellectual Property Resource Center.

Professor Hassanali practice focuses on business and legal consulting for SMEs in the areas of real estate partnerships, diversity and inclusion, and compliance.Through her work, Professor Hassanali uses the law to advance her vision for a pluralistic, sustainable, and equitable society.
