Rune Sølvsteen is a strategic advisor and digital commerce expert with a focus on 
organizational growth and digital disruption. He is the co-founder of Ginto Asia and Defacto 
Partners, with current business activities centered on Consulting, HR software solutions and 
managing the distribution of Trollbeads jewellery in Japan. 

 Rune’s governance experience includes serving on the TAC board as Treasurer, 
demonstrating his commitment to financial stewardship and non-profit oversight. His career 
includes leadership roles at global companies like Nike, where he was part of the e- 
Commerce founding team for 21 European countries, and as Industry Leader Retail, Board 
member at Google Benelux. 

Rune holds a BA in Marketing & Economics and an MBA from INSEAD. Rune speaks 
English, Dutch, Spanish and Danish. He studies Japanese and lives in Tokyo with his family.
