Paul Garside is an Associate Professor in the School of Global Japanese Studies at Meiji University. He has also taught at several other universities in Japan. His research interests include the development of speaking fluency and interactional competence, which was the focus of his doctoral dissertation at TUJ. He has published in several academic journals, both internationally and within Japan.
