Dr. Gupta has extensive experience working with leading international organizations and institutions. Her expertise spans International Economics, Public Policy, Asian Economies, Global Political Economy, Economic Development, and Gender.
Teaching Interests
Econometrics, Economics of Development and Growth, Japanese Economy, Women in the Economy, Microeconomics, Politics of the Global Economy, Advanced Statistics.
Research
Dr. Gupta’s research focuses on issues in international trade, migration, industrial productivity, political economy, finance, and gender. Beyond academia, she is also a frequent media commentator, has appeared in TV interviews on the BBC, and has written op-eds for The Japan Times, Business Standard, Business Line, and The Hindu. Her insights have also been featured in outlets such as Euromoney and other international publications.
