Junyeon Park is an of counsel in the Tokyo office of Herbert Smith Freehills and a member of the firm's Corporate Crime and Investigations Practice. Her practice focuses on advising clients on government and internal investigations compliance counseling, and compliance due diligence matters across the Asia-Pacific region. She has extensive experiences in Japan and Korea-related investigations and compliance matters. Prior to joining the firm, Junyeon also practiced at other international law firms in New York, Tokyo, and Singapore.
Junyeon is licensed to practice in the State of New York, and is a registered Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi. She graduated from the New York University School of Law, where he was an editorial board member of the New York University Journal of International Law and Politics. She graduated summa cum laude from Seoul National University with a B.A. in political science and economics, and completed the Abroad in Komaba one-year exchange program of the University of Tokyo. She is a native Korean speaker and fluent in Japanese. Before going to law school, she worked as a foreign service officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea.
