LL.M.

While working as a license officer in the intellectual property division of a global electronics company, I enrolled in the LL.M. in U.S. Law Program to further my knowledge of intellectual property law and to qualify to take the U.S. Bar Exam. Even though I was able to take all my courses in Tokyo, going to law school while working full-time was tough. However, I persevered and eventually qualified for and subsequently passed the California Bar Exam.

I am now working as an IP attorney in the D.C. office of a U.S. based international law firm. This opportunity would not have been possible without the input and the support of the professors and staff of TUJ. The friends I made at TUJ are the greatest assets I earned at law school, and even though I will be away from Japan for some time, I would very much like to stay in touch with them.
