Yoshio Murai
LL.M.
I am working at the Licensing and Litigation Department of the Intellectual Property Division of a global electronics company. I enrolled in the LL.M. in U.S. Law Program because I felt it necessary to study U.S. laws in order to effectively handle patent lawsuits in the U.S. Though both my legal knowledge and English skills were limited at first, I managed to follow classes thanks to the warm support and encouragement from TUJ professors and staff. Needless to add, the greatest assets I earned at TUJ are the friends I made there.
One unforgettable experience was taking the California Bar Exam with TUJ friends. Since it is a three-day exam that emphasizes writing, it was difficult for Japanese non-native speakers with limited legal knowledge. However, continuous study with TUJ friends finally led me to pass the bar.
I greatly thank my boss who recommended TUJ, my TUJ friends, and my wife for supporting my endeavors.
