The Beasley School of Law, Temple University, Japan Campus (Temple Law Japan), is pleased to announce a new Legal English for Global Practice course beginning in Summer 2026.
This course is designed for legal and business professionals, as well as individuals preparing for Temple Law Japan’s LLM and Certificate programs, who want to improve their English communication skills in legal and business settings.
About the Course
This course focuses on practical English skills for law and business professionals. It is designed for English language learners and does not require advanced legal knowledge.
In this course, you will learn how to:
- understand common legal vocabulary
- read and draft legal documents
- write in a clear and professional manner
- communicate confidently in English in legal and business situations
Classes are interactive and supportive, helping you upskill step by step.

- Credits: Non-credit. Receive a Certificate of Completion
- Schedule: Mondays, 18:45–20:45
- Dates: May 11 – July 27, 2026 (10 classes)
- Format: Online
- Tuition: JPY 97,000

- English test score (taken in the past two years). There is no minimum required score, but the following levels are recommended:
- Temple Institutional TOEFL (paper-based): 540+
- iBT (before Jan. 21, 2026): 75+
- iBT (after Jan. 21, 2026): 3.5+
- IELTS: 5.0+
- TOEIC: 700+
- Application fee: 12,000 JPY (one time only)
