The purpose of the Business Fundamentals I course in the Master in Management program is to establish a fundamental understanding of business and management. Its primary focus is on the firm itself - its functions, roles, and various activities. Throughout the course, you will learn to use specific theories in resolving difficult challenges that firms face on a daily basis.
For this sample class, prepare yourself by putting together some thoughts for discussion on the following issues:
- Isn’t business really just about maximizing shareholder value?
- How do companies actually create wealth?
- Leaders are born, not made. Agree or disagree?
Similar to the classes in the program, this mock class will be interactive. You’ll be asked to share your thoughts on the issues above. And while you may choose to only observe, you are encouraged to participate as a way to get a true feeling for what graduate school is really all about.
During our information session, you will have the chance to meet our program director and program staff. We will provide details about our program, admissions, tuition, and more.
We look forward to seeing you.
