MiM Program/Visa Application Deadlines

  • February 28 – Program application deadline for those wishing to be awarded the Early Admission Scholarship
  • April 15 – Program application deadline for those seeking a student visa through TUJ
  • April 25 – Visa application deadline for those seeking a student visa through TUJ
  • June 30 – Final program application deadline for those not seeking a student visa through TUJ

Visa application

Applicants who do not have permission to reside in Japan (via citizenship or prior long-term visa) must apply for a student visa through TUJ. Students are able to begin working on their student visa application on January 25; three months before the visa application deadline.

Rolling Admissions

Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis; you are encouraged to apply as early as possible to secure your decision. Applications are accepted from undergraduate students who are in their senior year.

Qualifications for Admission

  • Applicants must hold or expect to receive bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Applicants must have at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA
  • The program is designed for recent college graduates or those who are at early stage of their career.

Application Process and Requirements

The following application documents must be uploaded to the Fox Application Portal Once you complete your application, you will be asked to pay a nonrefundable application fee of ¥12,000.
The payment will be done outside of the portal site. Please wait for the notification which will be sent by email.

Once we confirm the payment, we will set an admission interview with you.

Application Documents:

  1. Transcripts from every credit-bearing post-secondary academic institution attended. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted during the application review process; sealed and certified official transcripts or mark sheets in English will be required upon admission and enrollment. Electronic transcripts submitted directly from the institution to Fox School admissions office are considered sealed and certified.   2. Current professional resume
  3. Essay (Statement of Goals)
    Please refer to the online application portal for specific essay prompt(s)
  4. Two letters of recommendation: Contact information for references may be submitted through the online Application Portal; references may then complete our electronic form or upload their own letters of recommendation.
  5. Standardized Test Scores (if applicable)
    1. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test scores may be requested based on academic and professional background. Candidates with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 are required to submit a valid GMAT or GRE test score (within the last five years).
    2. Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master’s degree in a country where the language of instruction is English, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums:
      • TOEFL iBT: 90
      • IELTS Academic: 7.0
      • Duolingo: 110
      • PTE Academic: 68

Note that if you earned your undergraduate or graduate degree from a country in which English is a commonly used language, you may be exempt from an English language test. See more information on Temple Graduate School website, “Before you apply” .
