Adult Study Abroad in Kyoto

Adult Study Abroad in Kyoto (December 2026)

An enriching and flexible two-week program designed for adult learners to experience authentic Japanese culture and language through structured classroom learning, cultural immersion, and curated field trips.

The academic foundation of the program includes TUJ’s undergraduate faculty and select continuing education instructors who are knowledgeable about Japan. Instruction will include occasional spot workshops, practical insights and hands-on experiences. Participants will study in the enchanted city of Kyoto (recently named the best big city in the world), combining classroom learning with guided excursions that bring the subjects to life.

Home to thousands of temples and cultural treasures, Kyoto is also a short train ride to the metropolis of Osaka and charm of Kobe. It is also a short bullet train ride away from Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe, Hiroshima, and more.
