2026/10/24 │ Student Activities: Travel with the Dean and Noriko Wilson & PB: Hakone Day Trip

Date:  October 24–25, 2026, 8:00 pm - 7:30 am
Location:  Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture
Students enjoying Owakudani

Explore Hakone with Dean and Noriko Wilson, and Program Board! Immerse yourself in the sculptures and structures at the Hakone Open-Air Museum, then ride the ropeway up to Owakudani – a striking volcanic valley where steam pours out from the ground! Try a famous black egg – eggs that have been cooked in the natural, volcanically heated waters in the valley – and observe bubbling hot spring pools and steam vents on the walking trail.

Finally, kick back at the Yunessun Hot Spring Theme Park where you can experience the best of both worlds: relaxing in a traditional Japanese hot spring or exploring the different, unique baths of the swimsuit area. From a coffee bath to a red wine bath, and water slides to a panoramic, outdoor bath looking out across the Hakone mountains, it’ll be a hot spring experience like no other for sure!
