Areas of Expertise
Music composition, music history & theory, and instrumental & choral conducting. As a composer he has written works in various mediums, including those for solo instruments, small ensembles, chorus and orchestra.
Teaching Interests
With Temple University, Japan Campus since 1990, Leonard Horton teaches courses that include most music genres: classical (Middle Ages to Contemporary), world music and popular music (pop/rock, jazz, American music & musical theater). For many years he was also founder and director of the TUJ Chorus.
