Katsumi is currently the Executive Director of TUJ KYOTO opening January 2025. She is responsible for overseeing the successful opening and operations of TUJ’s brand new satellite campus.

Prior to joining TUJ, Katsumi worked for various higher education institutions in the United States mainly in the State of New Jersey. She has been working in International Education as an expert in global student mobility for over 15+ years.

Professional and Business Associations

Katsumi is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. She has held numerous leadership positions including her most recent appointment as NAFSA Region X (New York/New Jersey) chair. She has hosted numerous conferences, international education workshops and has led multiple training sessions for NAFSA. Katsumi has also presented in multiple national and regional conferences on relevant topics in International Education.
