The first non-Japanese to be a Panasonic’s Board of Director. Has spent over 30 years working in the legal profession in Japan, China and Hong Kong.

Formerly served as Charge d’Affaires and as Deputy Chief of Mission for the U.S. Embassy Tokyo, and received numerous awards from the Department of State, including Superior Honor Awards.

The TUJ Board of Overseers, established and authorized by the president and the Temple University Board of Trustees’ Committee on Trustee Affairs in February 2011, serves an advisory function to provide TUJ with informed support on both academic and administrative matters from experts outside TUJ.
With the campus move to Sangenjaya this fall, TUJ plans to continue its educational initiatives in global higher education and improve its presence in Japan with the support of these new and continuing distinguished overseers.
