Areas of Expertise

Henry Curtley specializes in all four skills development with a current emphasis on academic writing for both native speakers and multilingual speakers of English.

Teaching Interests

Henry Curtley teaches courses based on argumentative writing, with topics ranging from the influence of social media and online anonymity on communication, to the role of artificial intelligence and pronoun usage society, as well as the development of academic writing skills and the effects of mindfulness on thinking and behavior.

Research

Henry Curtley’s interests focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and education, with particular emphasis on how emerging technologies influence critical thinking, collaborative learning, and students’ ability to take ownership of their learning processes. He is especially interested in designing learning environments for academic writing that enable learners to become more self-directed, reflective, and engaged participants in their educational development.
