Students enjoying the first clothing giveaway

The Tokyo Chapter of the Temple University association recently came together with the TUJ Program Board to organize a specialty clothing drive between May 1st to June 30th. This unique initiative was aimed at supporting TUJ students and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. By turning in old clothes, TUJ students were able to effectively reduce waste as well as receive new, unique clothing items.

One of the primary goals of this initiative was to assist students in financial need. By recognizing the importance of each student having access to basic necessities, the TUJPB and AlumniAssociation succeeded in collecting about 70 boxes of clothes brought by over 100 TUJ community members, which are gradually being handed out to students for free.

Stay tuned on the @tujalumni and @tujpb instagram pages for future collaboration news and updates.

Let's make a difference together!
