Session Details
At our information sessions, you will meet our program director and staff and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions in both English and Japanese. We will provide you with details about our degrees and certificates, courses, facilities, and the many benefits of studying with us. These benefits include:
- Completing your studies entirely in Tokyo in classroom-based programs operated by an ABA-accredited law school.
- Taking classes taught by an international law faculty and experienced lawyers practicing in Tokyo.
- Being able to discuss the law both in and outside the classroom with your professors.
- Studying and networking in year-round evening and occasional weekend courses with other professionals, practicing attorneys, and U.S. law students.
Mock Class
To demonstrate how the common and civil law approaches to problem solving differ, Professor Finbarr McCarthy, Director of the Law Program, will demonstrate the fact-grounded, analytical approach that prevails in common-law jurisdictions. Those attending the mock class may ask questions, make comments, and generally participate, just as would students in a typical U.S. law class.
