7 Lucky Gods Pilgrimage

In this short pilgrimage, we will visit 7 temples in Tokyo, each of them dedicated to one of the seven lucky gods. In each of them, you will learn a little bit more about these peculiar gods and the history of the temples. While walking you will also be able to discover the ancient neighborhood of Yanaka and its backstreets. At the end of the tour, you will receive a gift related to the 7 gods! Tokyo Backstreets Cycling Day

Kawagoe Day Trip

  Join us on this trip to the beautiful city of Kawagoe, in Saitama. Its main street, lined with Kurazukuri (clay-walled warehouse-styled) buildings, retains an ambiance reminiscent of an old town from the Edo Period (1603-1867) and allows us to imagine the streets from past centuries. Mt. Mitake Hiking Day

Mt. Mitake is one of the most famous and beautiful mountains in the north of Tokyo. We will use a cable car to get to the top of Mt. Mitake where we will visit the picturesque Mitake village. We will hike through the beautiful nature of this mountain until we reach its famous and magical Rock Garden. Before returning to Tokyo we will stop at an onsen to relax. Mt. Takao Hiking Day

Regarded as sacred since the Edo period, Mt. Takao, a beginner-friendly mountain, offers breathtaking natural beauty and a stunning view of the Tokyo metropolis (and Mt. Fuji if we are lucky!) at its summit. We will take a cable car that goes near the top and visit Takaosan Yakuoin Yuki-ji Temple, founded in 744. Sports and Board Games Night

Start the semester in the most fun way: playing sports or board games while making friends! On this night, the gym in front of TUJ will be open for volleyball and basketball. Also, in the Parliament, the TableTop Club will be setting up numerous board games in case sports aren't your thing! You choose how to have fun that night!

The AEP (Academic English Program) has prepared some activities for the exchange of cultures! Interested? Odaiba Joypolis Visit

In June, Japan enters the rainy season. No problem for us! In this activity we will go to an indoor amusement park called Joypolis! This park, located on Odaiba in Tokyo Bay, will allow you to enjoy numerous attractions, some of them including virtual reality! You will receive a free pass, which means that you will be able to ride as many rides as you want with your fellow students!
