Streets of Sangenjaya – Online Scavenger Game

Welcome to the first online scavenger game organized by TUJ where you are the main character! In this game, you will solve puzzles and riddles as you walk the streets of Sangenjaya... from the comfort of your bedroom! 20 students can win 1,000 JPY! The more riddles you solve correctly, the more chances you will have! The game is scheduled to happen from Monday, July 6th to Friday, July 17th (one riddle per day!) Tote Bag Aizome Workshop

From July 2020, Japan is charging for all plastic bags in every shop, conbini, supermarket, etc. Go ECO by making your own TUJ-Aizome Tote Bag! We will go to a traditional Aizome dyeing shop in the ancient neighborhood of Asakusa. You will be able to design your own bag and bring it home on the day! Although the TUJ Campus will be open during the Fall Semester, many classes will still be online. It doesn't matter if you're in Japan or not. You will still have the chance to meet fellow TUJ students and make friends at this Online Hangout! We will have ice-breaker games and prizes, and lots of conversations and laughter!

Online Shamisen Classroom

If you are interested in music, folklore, and Japanese culture, you can't miss this shamisen concert with the young master Yamanaka. Yamanaka-sensei was born into a family of Tsugaru-shamisen musicians, a branch of this instrument from northern Japan. During this concert that we will broadcast online, you will be able to listen to some of his best pieces and ask him questions during the Q&A time.
