About COVID-19

TUJ is very conscious of the current situation regarding COVID-19 in Japan and the rest of the world. Therefore, all the TUJ Club activities (except the online ones) will follow strict safety measures in order to prevent the spread of the virus. These measures include but are not limited to:

Interest Clubs Meetings on campus (Zine, Videogames, TableTop, etc)

  • Temperature check: all students will have to enter the building through the front door and perform a temperature check
  • Hand Sanitizer: all students will have to clean their hands with the alcohol sanitizer when entering the building
  • Masks: Mask protocol for the building will be enforced during club meetings as well.
  • Participants number limit: In principle, whatever room the club uses, they will be allowed half the number of students the capacity allows and will be required to maintain social distance.
  • Disinfectant materials: Those clubs that use several items during their meetings (Videogames Club, TableTop Club, etc.) will receive disinfectant material to be used before passing the items from one person to another.

Sports Clubs Meeting on campus (Volleyball, Futsal, Basketball, etc)

  • Temperature check: all students will have to enter the building through the front door and perform a temperature check
  • Limit number of participants: No more than 30 students from the same club in the gym/south ground at one time. Sharing space with other clubs will not be allowed. Any individual who is not a member of the club must be denied entry to the training sessions.
  • Training days: training on-campus will be reduced to one day per week.
  • Masks: Mask protocol for the building will be enforced during club meetings as well.
  • Disinfectant Equipment: Club leaders will be provided with disinfectant which should be used in the sports facilities in order to: disinfect door handles, floor, hands from all participants, balls, and other items used during practice.
  • Open doors: If the sports facilities are not outdoors (such as the Futsal Field or the SWU Tennis Field) the doors must be kept open in order to allow air to circulate.
