Cheng Zheng is a historian of foreign relations in China who has worked on the Sino-Soviet relationship during the late 1940s. His recent book is The Relationship between CCP and USSR during the Civil War – Focusing on the Dalian and Lushun Areas (Tokyo: Ochanomisu shobo, 2012) and he is currently working on the “Learn from Soviet Campaign” carried out in China during the 1950s. After studying at Beijing Foreign Study University and Waseda University, Zheng worked as a senior researcher at the Waseda Institute of Contemporary Chinese Studies from 2012 to 2017. He is now a visiting Senior Researcher at the Organization for Regional and Inter-regional Studies in Waseda University. Zheng obtained his Ph.D. of international relations from the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies at Waseda University in 2009.
