Dear friends,

We are happy to invite you to another session of our New York ICAS Korea Japan dinner program.  We will meet on Thursday 22 August 2013 at 8pm in New York City.  If you are interested in attending please email icas@tuj.temple.edu. We will email details on the location to those who register.

We are happy to welcome Tobias Harris, whom many of you know.  Tobias  is a Japanese politics specialist who writes the blog Observing Japan (http://www.observingjapan.com/). Previously he worked for a DPJ member of the upper house of the Diet 2006-2007. He has been published in, among others, the Wall Street Journal Asia, Foreign Policy, and the Far Eastern Economic Review, and has provided commentary for CNBC, CNBC Asia, Bloomberg, BBC, and NPR.

Tobias will review the prospects for the Abe government, look at he most important issues on the agenda over the next six months and assess the likelihood that Abenomics will successfully revitalize the Japanese economy.

We look forward to hearing from you.  Should you wish to invite a friend or colleague please let us know, we will be happy to forward an invitation. If possible please RSVP a day before the session.  If you arrive late, do not worry, we will keep some sushi and pastries for you.
