- Eligibility for this course is subject to instructor's approval. A small piece of text to be translated (approximately 150 words) will be provided to applicants via email. The translated text should be sent back by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 03-5441-9811). Students who have already completed one of the Continuing Education department's translation courses (JSL401, BTS101, or LTS101) are not required to take the translation test for enrollment.

This is an intermediate course for students who already have basic translation skills and wish to gain more advanced skills applicable to various professional business situations. The purpose of this course is to 1) learn practical translation techniques in business, which can be immediately applied to your daily work; 2) become accustomed to translating for business-related materials such as business email, press releases, contract forms and power point files; and 3) learn useful knowledge on translation industries such as the process of finding translation jobs and setting up as a freelance translator.
