Are you one of those who envy the young for being full of energy? Do you often feel that YOU'RE "too old" for sports because you're past the age of 50? If so, this course is for you! Lifetime sports is gaining popularity these days with an increasing number of people living longer while hoping to maintain Quality of Life (QOL). This course seeks to shatter the myth that "old" equals "inactivity." For example, it is said that Skiing is one of the ideal sports for seniors. It improves balance and increases cardiovascular endurance; strengthens bones, joints and muscles; provides crucial vitamin D from sunlight and lowers blood sugar levels. All these benefits promote your health and are key elements in reducing risks for falling down and preventing dementia.
This course does not intend to teach techniques in skiing or sports. It aims to provide you with a basic understanding of the importance of lifetime fitness activities and ways of developing habits for making long-term healthy changes. Set your goal, enjoy lifetime sports with your friends, and shoot for long lasting Quality of Life!
