Basic Statistics Using Python and R (PYR102)
This course is the second level of the AI series of courses using Python and R. The objective of this course is to learn the concepts, method, and application of basic statistics methods and algorism through the use of both Python (with Anaconda and Spyder) and R training business cases. It will provide you with a training environment for basic statistics such as descriptive statistics, confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, and linear regressions by using Python and R software. Upon completion of this second level course, you can step-up to the third level course in the AI series: PYR103: Advanced Statistics Using Python and R.
Masatoshi Hirakata has more than 20 years of leadership experience in various business units' functions and management positions in Asia Pacific and international business operation. He earned a BA in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Sophia University and an MA in Economics from Temple University Japan. He has been teaching in the Continuation Education program at Temple University for 10 years. He also enjoys Skiing for many years and has recently become interested in Skiing as a lifetime sport and its relationship with preventive medicine. He studied physical conditioning, fitness methodology, and skiing technical reference at Canadian Sport Business Academy. He holds SAJ Skiing class 1 certificate, Canadian Skiing Instructor Association Level 1 certificate, and Avalanche Skill Training 1 certificate from Avalanche Canada.
