This course introduces basic statistical concepts. With the greater availability of data for decision making, comes a greater need of how to use that data in effective ways. The objective is to learn essential mathematical and statistical tools and methods that are key to better understanding business, economics, data analysis and artificial intelligence. The course covers concepts such as data classification, descriptive statistics, probability, distributions, and hypothesis testing, as well as how to use simple statistical software. As an overview course, it provides an introduction to these concepts and their potential applications. The course would be useful for anyone wanting to acquire fundamental statistics knowledge as well as those wanting to develop their ability to interpret, analyze and leverage data for decisions in their lives and work.
