Familiarize yourself with the real world of corporate finance!

In this course the students will learn the basic framework of financial analysis and will apply it on a real company of choice, to gain an in-depth understanding of the most important issues faced by that company, ranging from the basics of corporate governance to the complicated realm of valuation.

In this applied course, together, we would be covering the fundamentals of investments including the measurement of the cost of capital; and the reasoning behind two other value enhancing corporate decisions viz. financing and dividend decisions. You will be able to interpret the basic financial information, evaluate projects, and obtain critical insights into 3 basic decisions that increase firm value.

To enhance your understanding of the tools and techniques, the course makes extensive use of real-world examples. We will work on problems related to valuation methods. This course is designed to help bridge the gap between the theoretical concepts and their application in the real world.
