Certificate in Basic Translation Skills
Hiring bilingual/multilingual employees has become more of a general rule these days, prompting managers to request various short translation tasks from these individuals. And why not? These employees are familiar with their company's product or service and are well suited to express the message that the company wants to convey. This certificate program is designed to provide the student with a solid foundation of basic and practical translation skills–valuable tools when working for a translation company or on internal company translation tasks. Students will have the opportunity to explore various types of translation techniques for diverse purposes; from business and legal to film subtitling and newspaper article translation. Based on student interest, this certificate program may include other types of translation in the future.
