NextFrame Nippon 2006
Presented by Temple University Japan, NextFrame Nippon has been organized since 1999 as a place to promote young and independent culture in Tokyo by offering student filmmakers a chance to expose their most innovative, professional and unbound works.
NextFrame Nippon features the most exciting student films from Japan and the rest of the world, including a selection of the best entries from its sister festival "NextFrame UFVA's Touring Festival of International Student Film and Video". Many students who have participated in this festival later became successful in the film business like Kimberley Pierce of "Boys Don't Cry". In 2004 and 2005 we also were able to welcome many distinguished Japanese film directors as our guests, among them Kaizo Hayashi, Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Shusuke Kaneko and Sogo Ishii.
