High School Summer Programs
August 1-7, 2010 - Intensive Japanese Language Program
August 8-14, 2010 - Japanese Culture Program
We invite motivated high school students who love Japan to spend an exciting week this summer experiencing a great city and culture.
During each intensive and interactive one-week program, students soak up Japanese history and pop culture or improve language skills. Workshops are taught by TUJ faculty at our campus in central Tokyo. TUJ staff lead excursions into the city and provide on-site dormitory supervision. Students share meals together and interact with local Japanese high school students during the program.
The purpose of the programs is to provide a supervised environment for young adults who want to experience Japan. Students enrolled in high school during the 2010-2011 school year with a strong interest in Japan are encouraged to apply. For the Intensive Japanese Language Program, we recommend that students have completed 2 years of Japanese.
