Marketing 2101 (formerly 0081 Introduction to Marketing): Marketing Management
3 credit hours (non-CLA)

Prerequisite: Economics 1101 or Economics 1102, which can be either a corequisite or a prerequisite

An introduction to the role of marketing in the U.S. economy and within corporations. The interaction of marketing with other business functions and with society is explored. The course involves a study of marketing mix development and issues, including product, price, promotion, distribution, and the decisions involved. Note, this was formerly Marketing 0101 and remains a prerequisite for all other marketing courses.
