A look at the basic concepts and principles underlying the preparation and use of financial statements. Among the topics will be basic accounting theory, transactional analysis, income determination, asset and liability valuation, and the preparation of financial statements.
Accounting 2102 (formerly 0002): Principles of Accounting II
3 credit hours (non-CLA)
Prerequisite: Accounting 2101
An examination of basic concepts relating to the accountant's role in the financial management of a company. Topics include organization for control, determining cost behavior, responsibility accounting, capital budgeting, and profit planning.
