Jewelbert T. Galarpe
After graduating from TUJ in May 1995 with a major degree in Political Science and a minor degree in Economics, Jewelbert worked for a few network-related firms before joining Bloomberg as a technical representative in 1998.
"I wanted to study in Japan and TUJ seemed ideal, as it was an open, friendly university with students from many countries. Interacting with different nationalities broadened my perspective and made me more outgoing and confident.
Classes are demanding, but you are given all the tools you need to succeed. My studies at TUJ made me feel ready to face any challenge and, I believe, helped me win an award given to outstanding employees at Bloomberg."

Thomas Lawrence
After studying at State University in New York, Thomas enrolled at Temple's Philadelphia campus with the goal of studying at TUJ; he hopes to work in a multinational corporation or start his own business.
"For me, the big benefit of choosing TUJ was that I could earn an American degree while studying in Japan. I also wanted to study in a genuinely international environment as there is nothing like taking yourself out of your comfort zone to really sharpen your senses and introduce you to different and more critical ways of thinking.
From a business point of view that is important, because you have to be able to understand the people you are doing business with, and Temple offers an incredible opportunity to acquire a very unique set of skills that are essential in the global business world."

Patricia Morrow
A native of Florida and a student at the University of Florida majoring in finance studies; Patricia enrolled at TUJ in fall of 2004.
"I wanted to study at TUJ because of its academic reputation, the knowledgeable and experienced faculty that promised a challenging curriculum, and the conveniently located campus.
TUJ's internship program also allowed me to experience corporate Japan as a researcher at the Economist Corporate Network and learn about running a business and the problems corporations face in entering Japan.
This practical experience helped me in my studies and will also help me after I graduate when I hope to work internationally in investment banking."
