Assistant Professor
Yaghoub KHOJASTEH, Ph.D., Eng.
Business
Areas of Expertise
Assistant Professor Khojasteh's expertise includes Operations Research (OR), Production and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Process Engineering. He has more than six years of working experience in industry and manufacturing companies. He was a Project Control Manager for three years in the project of constructing a high pressure fitting (used in oil and gas piping) manufacturing plant. He was also a Plant Manager in an industrial valves manufacturing company.
Teaching Interests
Assistant Professor Khojasteh teaches courses on Management Science and Operations Management. He also teaches Mathematics and Statistics.
Research
Dr. Khojasteh's current research interests focus on Operations Management, with special focus on Pull Production Control Systems and Just-In-Time (Toyota Production System). His recent paper was on developing a framework for pull production systems to improve the system performance which includes modeling and performance analysis of production control systems. His research interests also include Material Handling and Warehouse Optimization. He is currently the Topic Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Engineering and Industries (IJEI), a member of the Editor Board of the International Journal of Economics and Management Engineering (IJEME), and referee for several international journals (by Springer, Elsevier, etc).
